Rover Warranty

Your rover is protected by a New Rover Limited Warranty, which includes the Basic Rover Limited Warranty, the Charging System Limited Warranty, the Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty and Body and Rust Limited Warranty. 

The Basic Rover Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for 3 years or 3,000 hours, whichever comes first.

3 years or 3,000 charging hours, whichever comes first.

3 years or 3,000 hours, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.

If your Battery or Drive Unit requires warranty repair, ART will repair the unit, or replace it with a new, reconditioned or re-manufactured part at the sole discretion of ART. The warranty replacement may not restore the vehicle to a "like new" condition, but when replacing a Battery, ART will ensure that the energy capacity of the replacement Battery is at least equal to that of the original Battery before the failure occurred while taking into consideration other factors, including the age and mileage of the vehicle. 

To provide you with even more assurance, this Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty will also cover damage to your vehicle from a Battery fire even if it is the result of driver error. (Coverage will not extend to damage that had already been sustained before a Battery fire occurred, or to any damage if the Battery fire occurred after your vehicle had already been totaled.) 

In addition, the Drive Unit is subject to the exclusions and limitations described in this New Rover Limited Warranty. Damage to the Battery resulting from the following activities is also not covered under this Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty: 

• Damaging the Battery, or intentionally attempting, either by physical means, programming, or other methods, to extend (other than as specified in your owner manual and any documentation provided by Tesla) or reduce the life of the Battery; 
• Exposing the Battery to direct flame (excluding from Battery fires as specified above); or 
• Flooding the Battery.
   

The Body Rust Limited Warranty covers rust perforation (hole through the rover's body panel from the inside outward) resulting from a defect in material or workmanship. The Body Rust Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for 3 years and 3,000 hours.

These warranties cover the repair or replacement necessary to correct defects in the materials or workmanship of any parts manufactured or supplied by Autonomous Rover Technology, which occur under normal use.

This summary applies only to vehicles purchased directly from Autonomous Rover Technology on or after the date listed on the New Vehicle Limited Warranty; any Autonomous Rover Technology rovers purchased prior to that date are subject to the applicable New Vehicle Limited Warranty effective as of the date of purchase of such vehicle directly from Autonomous Rover Technology. The Used Vehicle Limited Warranty gives additional peace of mind to owners of used vehicles purchased directly from Autonomous Rover Technology.

Autonomous Rover Technology used rovers are covered by the remainder of 3 years or 3,000 hours left on the Basic Rover Limited Warranty. After expiration, the Used Rover Limited Warranty provides additional coverage of 1 year or 1,000 hours. If the Basic Rover Limited Warranty has already expired, the Used Rover Limited Warranty will provide coverage of 1 year or 1,000 hours, starting from your delivery date.

The balance of original Battery and Drive Unit Limited warranty still applies for used vehicles.

This limited warranty covers the repair or replacement necessary to remedy any “failures” that are determined by Tesla to have occurred under normal use.

“Failure” means the complete failure or inability of a covered part to perform the function(s) for which it was designed, due to defects in material or workmanship of the part manufactured or supplied by Tesla, which occur under normal use. Failure does not include the gradual loss in operating performance due to normal wear and tear.

The ART Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the purchase date of the part(s), and coverage extends for a period of 12 months or 1,000 hours of use, which ever comes first. Specific categories of parts have unique warranty coverage periods:

• Sheet metal: Limited lifetime
• Drive Unit: 3 years or 3,000 hours, whichever comes first
• Vehicle High Voltage Battery1: 3 years or 3,000 hours, whichever comes first
• Wall Connectors: 3 years
• Touchscreen and Media Control Unit: 3 years 

This New Rover Limited Warranty is transferable at no cost to any person(s) who subsequently and lawfully assume(s) ownership of the vehicle after the first retail purchaser within the described limitations of this New Rover Limited Warranty (“subsequent purchaser”). 

  The first retail purchaser, or subsequent purchaser, of a new vehicle sold in your specific Warranty Region, titled or registered in the name of the first retail purchaser, or subsequent purchaser, according to the laws in your specific Warranty Region, can enforce this New Rover Limited Warranty subject to the terms of this New Rover Limited Warranty. 

This New Rover Limited Warranty begins on the first day a new vehicle is delivered by ART to the first retail or corporate purchaser(s) or lessor(s) and provides coverage for the period based on the specified warranty as described in the Warranty Coverage section of this New Rover Limited Warranty. Parts repaired or replaced, including replacement of the vehicle, under this New Rover Limited Warranty are covered only until the applicable warranty period of this New Rover Limited Warranty ends, or as otherwise provided by applicable law.

The exclusive remedy available to you under this New Vehicle Limited Warranty is the repair or replacement of new, reconditioned, or re- manufactured parts by Tesla for the covered defects. Subject to the exclusions and limitations described in this New Vehicle Limited Warranty, such repair or parts replacement will be performed without cost to you by Tesla when Tesla is notified of the covered defect within the applicable warranty period. Repairs will be performed using new, reconditioned, or re-manufactured parts at the sole discretion of Tesla. All replaced parts or other components are the exclusive property of Tesla unless otherwise provided under applicable law. 

Despite the breadth of this warranty, damage resulting from intentional actions (including intentionally abusing or destroying your vehicle or ignoring active vehicle warnings or service notifications), a collision or accident (excluding from Battery fires as specified above), or the servicing or opening of the Battery or Drive Unit by non-Tesla or non-certified personnel, is not covered under this Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty.
